Teo Macero, 82 Record Producer, Dies

Teo Macero, a record producer, composer and saxophonist most famous for his role in producing a series of albums by Miles Davis in the late 1960s and early 1970s, including editing that almost amounted to creating compositions after the recordings, died on Tuesday in Riverhead, N.Y. He was 82 and lived in Quogue, N.Y.

From Bamako(Mali) to Delphi(Hellas)

I’m full of energy for this Wednesday to come with a multi colour set.
From this set i’ll spend half hour maybe in which i’ll present you two albums with a fantastic-relaxing mood, which were recorded in Bamako of Mali.

The morning of Friday before i went to take my ordered cd’s from the post office. This two cd’s recorded in Bamako of Mali.
After my job, i left right away on a snow-night trip to Delphi and these were the only music i’ve taken with me, because i left back home my player with the cd’s.

This Wednesday at 20:00 only on Radiophone.

Weekend on Delphi (Viotia-Hellas) without music.

I had a trip in Delphi this weekend, back in time on the center of the world, which was believed to be this sanctuary.

According to an age-old legend, the two eagles sent out by Zeus from the ends of the universe to locate the center of the world, met at Delphi. Ever since, Delphi has marked the avel of the earth and not only geographically.

For many centuries this sanctuary defined a spiritual and religious center, a symbol of unity among the ancient Hellas.

From the 6th to the 4th ct BC the Delphic oracle reached its peak. Apollo’s prophecies, regarded as the most reliable, were ‘spoken’ by Pythia and converted into verses by the priests.

Cities, leaders and ordinary people hasted to seek divine advice. The beginnings of the oracle go far back in antiquity and its reputation crossed the frontiers of the world.

The Delphic oracle is believed to have foreseen Deukalion’s inundation, the Argonauts’ expedition and the Trojan War.

For more about Delphi here.
